The call screening feature requires the caller to record their name before they are transferred to the appropriate extension. This allows the person who is answering the call to know who is calling and decide if they want to take the call, send it to voicemail or route it to someone else.
For businesses I receommend that you use call screening sparingly as it can frustrate callers and can be a "turn-off" for someone looking to conect with a human as quickly as possible.

Call screening is often confused with call announce. The call announce feature simply notifies the person receiving the call that a call is coming in, but does not tell you the name of the person placing the call.
